Minh Quang Nguyen
The Archbishop’s Awards acknowledge the commitment to their faith, academic life, community and social justice of one student from each of 50 secondary schools in the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney.
The 2021 awards were presented by Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP during a live video conference for the students, their parents and principals on Friday 3 September.
This year’s Patrician Brother’s College Fairfield recipient is Minh Quang Nguyen.
Minh demonstrates great initiative in supporting the religious life of the College and his local parish. Minh’s service to liturgical music and volunteering for numerous school events, such as Open Evenings and Information Nights, are evidence of his active witness to his values.
He humbly gives of himself to the broader Church through his contributions to the altar serving program at Sacred Heart, Cabramatta, where he is a consistent contributor to this service. His participation in parish charitable works, youth events and service to the Patrician Brothers’ in the maintenance of the monastery grounds, through the College Stewardship Program, is testament to Minh’s exemplary role-modelling of how to be an authentic and humble young Catholic today.
Minh received a medallion and certificate of recognition. The medallion is emblazed with the Archbishop’s Coat of Arms and motto.
Minh; strong faith and love of Christ is evident through his engagement in parish and school activities.
